| What are the nature of the breakdowns? I agree you need to check for correct service voltage. Al.

| no tests have been carried out, i wouldnt know where to start with that? the breakdowns have been 2 screens ,graphics card, fapt card, inverter for tool changing carousel, and a couple of minor circuit boards which i managed to repair myself. is it likely to be the damp? Thank you for your replies im most grateful for any help i can get. |

| Unless the humidity is extreme, I would not suspect that, inside cabinets are usually warm, the boards would have to be cold and come in contact with humid air for condensation problems, the low logic level boards are usually cushioned from service power voltage variations due to switching power supplies keeping the DC levels constant. The inverter might be an exception. If FAPT is used, these are Fanuc I presume? Fanuc recommend a service supply with +-10% of the operating voltage, this is often 200vac as this is the standard supply in Japan I believe. It may not hurt getting the supply voltage checked, just to eliminate it from the equation. Or you might be just having a streak of bad luck ![]() Al.
