I am searching for a 480v to 120v 20amp powersupply with a holding tolerance of + or - 2%. It does not have to be a battery back up. It is for a laser mic. The company keeps blowing $15,000 mics due to a non regulated power supply. I would appreciate someone reffering me to a vendor or brand. thanks |

| 480 volt ac to 120v ac. I just need to maintain a constant voltage. I can not have any dips or swells and we are using this in a manufacturing fascility that does not have the cleanest power and a low power factor. this is causing severe problems and a short term solution to solve this issue with this one item is a regulated power supply. the mic says 120volt ac with a tolerance of incoming voltage of +-2%. |

| For regulating the 120vac you could look at something like the Sola products, they are a bit wastefull as they operate with quit a bit of heat due to the saturation they operate in. But it may be a solution. http://www.solahd.com/support/faq.html Al.

| You took the words rite outta my mouth. Indeed sola is probably your best solution. I have seen these units and installed them in a number of locations. The power is prity constatnt here, in Canada, as it should be in the usa. I take it you have monitored your voltage for a while. If there are voltage dips/spikes it could be your feed wiring, it could the electric company's problem. lol, you might just as well talk to the wall. or perhaps in line inductors would help. |
