Need Help!- burny 2.8 led display dim

Is there a way to brighten up the display on the burny controller? I can barely see it to load or run programs.

I would suggest replacing the display. I know of know way to "brighten" it up. They are not expensive.

The display just unplugs from a socket. Pay attention to how deep the old display was pluged into the socket. Try and install the new one the same depth. Just takes a little time because there are a lot of pins to align.

I haven't pulled out the old led display. I contacted the manufacturer and they said that the board just behind the buttons that has the display would need to be replaced. He quoted me around $3100.00 for the board. I couldn't believe it!!!!!! This is a machine at my work so I don't have all of the free time that I would like to work on it. I am responsible for all of the programming and some of the running of the machine so when it needs repair they have me check into things. If I pull out that board how do I get a new LED. I don't want the machine to be down so I would like to get a new display before removing it. Once the board is removed I have to re-enter all of the parameters again. This isn't something I want to do unless I have a part for it. Do you know of any resources for getting part numbers for a display. The manufacturer seemed more interested in selling a new card and front cover, not a display.
