    A Good Source for Transformers

I spotted the name Plitron here, so I faxed them an order for a 1000VA toroidal transformer on Friday. When I called to get the status, I discovered that they have very little stock. They quoted 4-5 WEEKS for delivery.

So I went back out on the web and found: http://www.avellindberg.com

Plitron wanted $112.50 for a transformer I'm getting for $81.85. And the transformer is in STOCK. And they are two towns away from me in Connecticut. Someone will DROP it off this afternoon. FYI, the transformer is 1000VA with two 50 volt secondaries and two 120 volt primaries. Includes mounting hardware.

I bought mine from these people since now one that makes toroidal would do one to my specs. http://www.actransformer.com/index.html It was $325 for a custom made 3 KVA standard transformer. I have not recieved it yet, so I can't comment on quality or anything yet.
