I have an upcoming electric canoe project that I've started. My plan is to use two cheap 30lb thrust trolling motors. My question is can I wire up one trolling motor to control both as far as speed goes? This is the trolling motor http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=66882 |

| Just assuming that the control has an 8 position switch for the 5 forward 2 reverse and off settings.... If you replaced the switch (most likely a single pole 8 positon) with a double pole 8 position switch and wired 1 pole and it's position contacts to one trolling motor control and the other pole and it's position contacts to the other control, you would have one switch that would control both motors. Seeing the schematic of the control would help. |
