I've been using a 4KW drive on a 1.3KW motor for driving a brushless servo motor. I have another drive here that I was planning on using as my spare but it is much larger.. now I am having second thoughts. What problems could occur by using a much larger drive as a spare replacement ? I have an identical drive to the 4KW but its rated for 7.5KW. There are settings within the drive that allow you to limit the max power output from 0-100% for both normal amp operation and the max amps /sec operations. But what I am wondering is if there will be any side-effects from using a drive that is so much larger. Could I run into tuning problems or anything else? Thanks, Murphy |
