I was given 8 OMRON EE-SH3 opto switches that I'd like to use for my limit/home switches on my mini-mill. My problem is I'm electronically understanding challenged. I have found the data sheets, but they are somewhat greek to me. My hope is to use the 5v off of my Xylotex board to power them, and have them switch the 5v TTL(?) for the limit switch. Anyone give me some example of wiring them up? I am specifically concerned with whether I need resistors, and how many of them per switch.. Thanks to all, Rod |

| If you use 5v both sides of the opto/interupter then you would make K (cathode) common and wire a 75 to 100 ohm resistor from A (anode) to 5v. the output side you would make the E (emitter) common and use a 47 ohm resistor from C (collector) to the other 5v TTL 5v supply and use the output at C.
