Hi, I've picked up a few 2000 and 4000pulse, incremental encoders. Until now I've only ever used open-loop stepper systems. Can anyone suggest a DIY priced drive that accepts 5volt CMOS encoders as a way to improve stepper drive performance. Looking to use with Nema34/42 steppers (got spec's if required). I checked Gecko's but they only seem to use encoders for their servo motor drives. dc |

| Thats neat. I looked at your site, is that the 1/4KWatt, AC servo motor and drive as a bundle for $250. Seeing as your in Canada is that Canadian $ - sorry I'm a Great British Pound (GBP) kind of guy so I just want to make sure I understand. Certainly something I'll look into after this next project for sure. Problem I found with most on say epay is that the drives, motors and cabling often comes up "as and when" so it can be a real mine field purchasing used so thats why I went for steppers, new. dc |
