Arrow 0pen source uni-polar chopper stepper drive 80V 5A - Schematic available

Hi,

I'm new to CNC zone and this is my first post.
For many years I have run a small company in Cyptrus producing CNC plasma and router systems, mostly custom designed.

We have designed in-house all the electronics, mechanics and software

As I will be retiring soon (I am 58) I would like to contribute some of our designs (electronic mechanics and software)
to your community

My first contribution will be for an inexpensive uni-polar chopper stepper drive capable of up to 80v 5A with faciltiy of using with microstepping translator.

If this is of interest to anybody please contact me and I will post details within the next few weeks.

I will post schematic diagram with parts list this week for the drive, when I have a chance

Your slo-syn stepper motors must be the unipolar type to work (5, 6 or 8 wire)

I will also supply open source schematic of translator/computer interface in due course
with details

If you need software I have a professional plasma/routerCADCAM program available but only as shareware.

Hi,

Unfortunately, your schematic is hard to read. Could you make it available bigger, maybe in PDF format and in black and white only.

Thanks!

Alain

Unfortunately the uni-polar drive i have will not do - maybe gecko drives will be suitable

I don't want to sound rude or anything but I disagree with the way you are posting.

First, starting 3 threads on the same subject will get things at least confusing after a while.

But more important, sharing bits and pieces, a little bit now, a little bit later, personally I really dont like it.

I think that you should have prepared yourself before posting anything.

Sorry!

Alain
