I just received a CNC plasma table that came with stepper drivers made by RTA PAvia - a company that I've never heard of until now. It's a three axis machine with a slave on the Y, so four drivers in total and I believe they are all model NDC 06. I checked the website, obtained datasheets for my particular drivers and everything looks very legit, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this brand. I searched these forums and only came up with two hits so I'm not really sure how well these drivers perform. So any info would be great! Thanks! Datasheet for anyone interested: http://www.rtaeurope.com/rta/PDF/ndc.pdf |

I have a couple of the RTA Drives as well. Not used them yet, but they look good and have all the features I might want. 85V- 6 amp I am now on the track of the S&h controller unit that the drives share a rack with. S&h has a US agent, but I have not been in contact with them yet. Regards Cal |

Well, the free market is a wonderful thing. I paid more for the rack than the 2 drives I have. All less than $50 (USD). I would not try to replace them at industrial prices however. Fortunately the have many features that suggest a long life. Ain't life a wonderful thing, Cal |
