I want to know how to check IGBT QM30DY in normal condition using Digital Multimeter? What value should I use on DMM (Diode or Ohmmeter)? C2E1 --- E2 ---- C1 ---- B1-E1 ---- E2-B2 between C2 (+) - E2 (-) =....... ohm ? between C1 (+) - E1 (-) =....... ohm ? etc Thanks, Andre |

| What are you trying to do? You are not very clear in your question. A good transistor (IGBT, MOSFET, bipolar) will read "open circuit" (100K or more with a multimeter) collector to emitter if it's an IGBT or bipolar device or drain to source if it's a MOSFET. A bad device will read 10 Ohms or less. Silicon (IGBTs, MOSFETs, bipolar NPN and PNP) invariably fails shorted. Mariss |
