I have an old Compumill 4000 with a Dynapath Delta 10 control on it. The control has a bad comm. board and I don't want to repair/replace the board due to the cost vs. capability of the control. I want to pull that control off and replace it with a computer running Mach3 software. The machine has DC Servo motors with built in encoders, the motors are Baldors. I know I need to replace the drives for the motors and have a breakout board for the computer, what else do I need to make this work? I am looking at the Gecko G320 drives and the C11G interface card from CNC4PC.com. The instructions mention a power supply, do I need one? One for each drive or just one for all of the drives? Any help with this would be greatly appriciated. Thanks, Dave |

| Dave, Are the motors brush DC motors, or brushless motors? If they're brush, you'll be fine. If they're brushless, you'll need to use a brushless servo drive. You will need a power supply to power the drives. If you use the Gecko drive, you'll need a DC power supply that provides an appropriate amount of current that won't exceed what the three drives will use combined. Matt

| Matt, Thank you for your response, I'm 90% sure the motors are brushless but I will find out for sure today. I will also find out the combined current usage for the motors and the voltage used. Thanks again, Dave |
