I started a X-2 mini mill conversion over 2 years ago. Wife spent about 6 mo in the hospital and it went on the shelf. I have started on it again. I have 3 497oz motors and driver from Xylotex. I have all 3 mounted with 1 to 1 belt drive on the X and Y, and 2 to 1 on the Z. The motor on the X turns very hard and not smooth like the other 2. I took it off and it is the motor. I don't want to wire everything and the motor fry the board. Is there a way to check to see if the motor is junk??? I know basic electricity, but beyond that, I'm pretty dumb. THANKS Rodney |
