My set up is as follows 3 gecko 201's 3 rht23-270 (6 wire) bipolar 57.9 v ps 12v + 5v ps breakout board c1(old one but new condition) mach3 My problem is that my motors will not turn. I have tried various configurations to no avail. I suspect that it may have printer port problems or 5v problem but can't figure it out. The bios is set to accept (epp+ecp) . Ive tried standard, epp, and ecp in different configs so I am thinking the current one is the best bet. I have a brand new printer cable(maybe 10 ft is to long?) The 5v for the gecko is coming from the 12v+5v PS. I thought that it should come from the 5v on the bob but it show s only 2v. When I go back to mach 3, the reset works when the 5v comes from 12v+5v PS, BUT, it will not reset when the 5v(actually 2v) comes from the bob. I have also tried grounds in different configs also. Should all grounds ,including the AC ground , all connect or should they be separate? power at the 201's is 57v current set resistor is 32k any help very much appreciated by my balding head Rick |

| 1) Your breakout board is not being powered or it is broken. You must have +5V on the G201 COMMON (term 12) or nothing will work. 2) In Mach3 'ports and pins', set step pulse 'active low'. In 'motor tuning', set step pulse width to '2' microseconds. Mariss |
