| Hello Yves Giard, You may find some information in the PDF "thb407.pdf" on page 99 and 100. It has the pin connections for the monitor. Link to manual (un-split the URL is split on 2 lines) http://filebase.heidenhain.de/doku/o.../gb/thb407.pdf The Video signal appears to be analog RGB most likely 1 Volt Peek to Peek with TTL syncronization signals H and V. If you have the correct wiring for the signals then what dose the LCD panel do? If it gives a message Sync out of range it may be that the horizontal scan rate is too low or the H and V signals are reversed. Modern LCD panels have a lower opperating frequency limmit of 31K Hz. If you can measure this signal to find out if it is higher or lower than 31K Hz then you can workout if you need to buy a custom LCD panel insted of a typical computer one. The custom LCD panels can opperate down to 15.5K Hz Horizintal frequency. To measure the frequency you could use a frequency meter or CRO (Osciliscope) or a suitable multi-meter. A number of multi-purpose digital volt meters have a frequency measurement function ( I have found some cheeper ones are not so reliable though), and they are cheeper than the first two options. I have used custom LCD Pannels from "www.converters.tv" they will work at all the older horizontal frequencies and have ports for VGA style of plug and a TTL signal level plug. A 12.1" LCD panel is the perfect replacement for a 14" CRT Monitor. http://www.converters.tv/products/vga_to_vga/492.html I have made up a batch of laser cut brackets that mount the LCD panel into the frame that held the 14"CRT tube. I usualy gut the CRT monitor frame and install the LCD onto the mounting points that held the tube. Its very tidy when complete. Regards Peter |
