| Can anyone help me I am have real problems with my step motors they are making a very strange noise. They only make the noise after they have been on for about an hour it is sort of a very loud hissing noise they only make the noise when they are not moving. The noise only comes from the Y axis motors The motors are Nema 34 I have two on the Y axis slaved together by the controller box that I purchased from Marchant Dice ltd. Thanks Rovi |

| I suspect you hearing the chopping action of the current limiting. That is pretty common with steppers and isn't in itself a fault condition.
