My CNC Machine and Questions

Hello! I joined this site last nite so I thought I would post some photos and ProE images of my CNC machine I have been putting together over the past five months. I am to the point of testing my electric system and motors so that is why the latest photos show the machine disassembled. I am having problems at the moment firing up the motors. I suspect an electrical connection problem. I am using a SP3 stepper motor setup from StepperWorld. The machine I am building is called the 7th Sojourn. It uses a Dremel tool for cutting and construction is fairly straight forward and simple. I thought it would be a good way to get my feet wet in CNC. The good thing about my first machine is that I figure total cost to get the machine completed and up and running will only be around $500. Anyway if anyone out there has experience working with the SP3 motor and circuit setup I could use any advise you have to getting mine up and running. Enjoy the photos I'll send more as I progress. Very nice machine, are you still have trouble with your stepper motors?

I like the table! Did you mill those pieces or are they some kind of standard part that can be bought?
