I have a controller with G320's and a 55 vdc power supply that drives servos on a large machine. I would like to be able to share the same controller with a smaller machine with servos wanting only 36 volts. I suppose I could swap power supplies to motors as necessary, but I am wondering if there is a way to use the 55 volt power supply in both cases but limit the voltage to 36 volts when using the controller on the smaller machine. Also, in some cases I may want to use 55 volt motors and 36 volt motors on the same machine, so I'd really like to control the voltage going to each axis. |

| I am not sure what the recommendation is for the drives you have, but the AMC drives I use they recommend a PS to be from 10% to 50 % higher than the rated motor voltage. And mention that higher voltage is nor normally a problem. http://www.a-m-c.com/content/support...ml#selection03 Al.
