Other controllers that output step/direction?

Hello,

What other controllers are out there that output step/direction and also offer spindle control, and I/O's for other control? Note: I am looking for the controllers that have onboard timing, like the DeskCNC controller.

The DeskCNC 2nd gen controller has a lot going for it, but I would like to use other software.
