PCB engraver / mini-cnc machine

I do alot of prototyping for our robot team at Latech. I would like to build a small CNC or engraver so I can make some PCB.

I came here because of a reference so I was hoping someone could help me.

Some places I have found that have these kits are

These are the motors and drivers, but are these good kits? Where do I get the rails for the table?

I found a XY table on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WD1V

if I use this with a electronics kit from say hobbyCNC.. that would be pretty close to a complete setup? All I would have to add would be a Z travel.

That's a nice find but I wonder if you can modify it to put motors on it? I think I am getting one for my drill press...I needed something to hold work down and I love the added bonus of precise movement.

Let me know if you find out if you can modify it for CNC.

Nick, I think that for your interests, the best forum is the 'homemade wood routers'. The techniques, materials, construction tips and final machines are very similar. And you will found *very* good threads within.
