Need Help!- CandCNC Mini I/O BOB rev5

I bought a CandCNC Mini I/O BOB about a year ago and am just getting around to using it. Today, my friend who designs & builds electronics simulators attemted to smoke test the bob connected to a Gecko. Were getting step & direction signal in but nothing out. We found that we had not jumpered the estop & hoped that was the problem. But after jumping the estop still no output. We have signal to the 74LS541 but nothing at the output. We checked everything we could think of to no avail. Any ideas out there?

Do you have the charge pump enabled or jumpered out? I am not familiar with the CandCNC board, but other breakout boards I have used have a charge pump that you must drive to enable motion outputs.

Ah ha! Upon reading the mini I/O manual for the 10th time & your suggestion, I think yor onto something. The bob has a charge pump that must be driven with mach or removed & jumpered. We were providing pulses with a laptop & CNCPRO. So no charge pump watchdog. Thanks much. My friend & I will check it out with his computer that has mach & post if that solves the problem.

Well we switched to mach turned on the charge pump and corrected one other wiring issue & it ran like a stripped butt ape
