Does anyone know if running a PC 7301 laminate trimmer at a reduced speed (thru a Harbor Freight speed control) damages or reduces its life? I'm running about half the wide-open speed. TIA Mike |

| I can't get you a definite answer but I know that many motors are fine at a slower speed as long as they stay cool. When you slow down the motor, you also slow down the cooling fan which makes it run hotter. It may be bad on the internals too, but I don't know enough to say. Matt |
