| Chris, Switch mode Power Supplies can be used, but you will need a large capacitor across the output terminals. There are specific equations out there that can tell you how big a one to use, but in general, I use a 2000 - 10000 uF capacitor when I use a Switch Mode Supply. But in answer to your question, yes they can be used and used properly, but it is recommended that you use a large capacitor. Hope this helps. Regards, Glen |
