I have a small Knee mill (Clausing 8520) that I plan to power with a PMDC treadmill motor rated 2.65 h.p. @ 130VDC. Below are a few of my questions. Any ideas on how to modify a MC-60M control board to reverse direction? Or, is it best to just use a DPDT switch/contactor between the controller and the motor? Does the choke have to be on the negative(A-) side of the motor circuit? Anyone know how to disable the soft start/stop feature? Finally, what happens when you clip RPS3? Thanks, PK |

| Just looking over the spec's on that board, If you have not already purchased one, I would think the better route to go would be a KB or Baldor style, they can be had off ebay very cheap, even new, they are around the same cost as these units. If it is a two quadrant drive, which these appear to be, the KB/Baldor have an interlock which prevents going immediately from forward to reverse, a four quadrant drive will have auto reverse and dynamic braking, a 2 quadrant, you have to reverse the motor leads and have some way of preventing immediate reversal.
