I build stepper driver using L297 and L6203. I test it using 24v power supply. the ciruit work, but my voltage regulator (LM317T) get quite hot after a while, can somebody help me with this problem? Last edited by xinzc28; 11-10-2008 at 03:55 AM. |

| yes, I put heat sink but small one, since the +5v circuit only take current about 0.7A. I have been use LM7805, LM317 chip with higher input voltage (32V) and higher current on circuit (1.2A) but I never get heat so hot like now and it happend after quite long time eg. 1 hour. In my current circuit, it only take 30 sec to get hot. any idea? |
