Use a relay in series with the auto feed's mechanical limit switch

If the DRO has a programmable, digital output, you should be able to wire a relay to the output and then wire a set of normally closed relay contacts in series with, or in place of the auto feed's limit switch. Depending on the DRO output type you may need some additional components to drive the relay (such as an optically isolated digital out module and a power supply).

Question optically isolated digital out module

    srcmadison,
Thank's for your help.forgive me if i'm not so familiar with electronic stuff.
The situation is DRO (The display unit)not programmable ,and digital output(not sure, because at back of display there's no other connector, except for linear scale unit), only linear scale has signal A&B output Signal(read from manual book).
It is possible to make interface(for digital output??/optically isolated digital out module) between linear scale or display unit so when DRO displayed 0.000 there's analog output to drive the relay?do you have any idea or schematic may be?
thank you for help and idea...

Unless the Sony display has a output connector, you will not be able to interface anything unless you are a electronics guru. Sony systems are not compatible with the other dro systems on the market so using another manufactures display is also out of the question. I guess you could hire someone to build something that will interface with the Sony scale box on the end of the scale cable. The price would be what it would cost to buy a new system with the output in the display.
