There is a slick little circuit in this months Electronic Design using a handfull of components. http://electronicdesign.com/Articles...768/19768.html This continuity tester covers some of the limitations with using the buzzer on the average meter. i.e. It does not take ms to register, uses no on/off switch and will only indicate under 5ohms as well as testing transformer windings for continuity and the correct phasing for series/parallel multiple windings.
