I have a Bodine speed reducer motor that I can't get any info from the company, they claim they no longer support this model. It is type:nci-34rh,115v a c.rpm=1725,hp=1/15,60 cyl and 44 rpm at the reducer. It has four lead wires( 2black,2blue). How do I wire this motor to run? I tried different combos but no go. Did I fry it? I am trying to use this in a woodworking application. --- thanks ...joe |

| Being AC it probably has a start and a run winding, check the continuity of all leads and see if they show as two separate windings, if so you will need a start capacitor in series with the start winding. See if Bodine will give you tha Cap. rating. Al.

| Rather than explain there are severl sites that outline split phase motor. e.g. http://www.iprocessmart.com/leeson/l...se_article.htm If you use the ohm meter range, test the for two distinct windings, when all four leads are brought out, it is to aid in reversing the motor. You need a 5 mfd AC rated capacitor. Al.
