1981 GE Inverter drive / Cincinnati Milacron Hydrotel | |
This machine is old and gives me more problems than a woman.
Started as an intermediate problem, when cycle starting a program the servos would shut down. No error nothing. But could re-start the machine and would work fine. What ever was dieing finally died, The servos will not turn on at all let alone the spindle. 
Traced the problem to the General Electric Speed variator inverter drive... what a MESSSSS.
The only thing I have to go off of is that a relay light on a regulator card signals a inverter fault?!?!?!? And from my troubleshooting found that could come from anywhere. I have done all the routine troubleshooting through out the last few months and am no closer to finding the cause. (Boss is to cheap to hier someone)
PLEASE if anyone has any experience with this machine or knows anything about the GE inverter drive I could use some help here. I am willing to e-mail or post the prints and information I have if anyone would be willing to look it over
