Hi im wanting to build a 3" mandrel tube bender. I need some help selecting the right motor, gear reducer, and controller. Any sugestions would be appreciated. I'm thinking of using a high torque servo motor " not sure AC or DC. I need help on how to controll the motor so I can stop it at certain angles. Thank You, Scott |

| I assume you want to bend 'steel' or other harder materials...servo's are not going to work too well... easier to do an electric over hydraulic with microswitches for end of travel.. unless you want to do several hundred a day..the drop a PLC front end on same basic power unit.. tried electic over hydraulic on my Hossfeld, worked great, but just did small qauantities [maybe two dozen max] of each bend angle.. cost is fairly minimal too.. enjoy.. vladdy |
