    Motor Cable ????

    What type of cable do i use to extend the cable on my motors.

    will 8 core alarm cable be suitable or not????
    Alarm Cable Specs
    General wiring cable, suitable for many applications including the wiring of alarm systems and various signal carrying requirements.
    Inner conductor, each: 7/0.2mm
    O.D. : 4.8mm, approx.
    Colour: White
    If not does anyone know where i can buy suitable cable in the UK.

    This depends on a number of factors.. What kinda of motors? Do they have encoders? What is the voltage? What is the amp draw? What is the length of run? All of these are important considerations when you pick a cable.

    I am going to use the hobbycnc board the current wire is the 22AWG. they are 2.8Amp motors and 2.8Volts I need to add about another 2m max.
