i have a westamp servo board i bought via ebay to replace a bad one in my cnc turret mill. it is about 3 years older than the oem board which was also westamp. it came from a balancing machine, i am currently waiting for info from the seller on what type of servo motor was driven by it. i have their electrical schematic for the board, the pinouts look identical, even the pins used by the balance machine are the same used by my mill, with the exception of the balancing machine using the tach and my mill does not. what are the chances of this board being plug and play? my cnc tech is camping for a couple weeks and id like to get to work. maybe a better question, can i chance putting this board in and firing up the mill to see if it will run, or am i risking frying something? thanks! |
