A broken cooling fan inside a Sieg mini-mill spindle control box. It plugs into a board with a transformer looking thing. On basic inspection it looks nearly identical to a computer processor fan I have kicking around. The sieg fan is marked 12vdc 0.10 A The computer fan is marked 12vdc 0.13 A For some reason the sieg fan has slightly heavier looking wires. Maybe it's just heavier insulation. Any reason this wouldn't be a direct swap? Assume nothing, I'm an electronics moron.

| I see no reason why it will not work, most PC style fans that run off a 12vDC supply are actually brushless, some machines that have 3 wire DC fans often have a fan blade sensor to indicate if the fan is rotating, but then you get a fault if the fan is removed or disconnected. The heavier looking wires may be just heavier insulation type. If it is the same diam, the air flow rate should be pretty close. Al.
