I recently had to part with my old computer. my old laptop had a parallel port and all my hardware worked perfectly with it. my new laptop (toshiba satellite) running xp professional has no parellel port. I purchased the trans digital parallel port card. xp says the card is fully installed and functioning correctly. here is my setup- xylotex 4 axis cnc4pc bob c11 rev. 5.4 mach3 my cnc4pc bob has the red "output status" led lit. the cnc4pc manual for this board does not say anything about this led. should it be lit or not? the cnc4pc bob has only the 1, 14 & 17 pin led's lit. I checked the parallel port off the new trans digital parallel port card and indeed, my multimeter is only reading dc voltage off those same 3 pins. I cant get the other pin leds on the cnc4pc bob to light up when jogging the motors in mach 3. I have changed the settings for hours and hours, but nothing seems to work. I have mach3 set to "0x378" and enabled. my device manager says the transdigital card is set to i/o range 0378 - 037A anyone have any ideas, im going bonkers trying to figure this out!
