I really want to install my QuickcamPro USB 2.0 as a centering camera to my CNC Router. Problem is that the USB cables are way too short. I need at least 20'. I have researched this problem and have found the folowing things about USB2.0

Hi, I am using a USB Extender to run my QuickCam® Pro 5000 Web Camera "Centering Camera" It works perfect no gliches or dropped frames. It uses CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6 UTP Cable for extended lengths up to 100 meters. They sell for almost $100.00, I have a extra unit if you are interested for $40.00 Jeff Alessi jalessi@aol.com |

| or you can use something called an active usb extender, they arent as expensive as the network cable ones but they have set lengths. you do not want to make the usb cable longer, because that can really stuff up timings |
