For my control box I have one 110V line in. I was wondering if that one line with a 20A circuit would be enough power to turn on the control box, spindle, and coolant? I didn't know if that would be to much for on circuit to handle. Also what is the common gage of wire for a usb cord to supply 5V@500ma? I was going to use 22g. |

| it is for an X2 minmill. It has a 4/5hp motor on it. I am using the probotix 3 axis kit with a 24V 4.5A power supply. I also am using the cnc4pc c11 REL1.1 board. It has a usb cord to it along with a 5v@2a and 12v@1a power supply. The last part of the equation is the coolant pump is from grizzly. It is the 3 gal kit that they sell. |

| You should be fine with the single circuit. One thing you can do is to convert all your voltage and current ratings to watts. Volts X Amps = Watts, then add up to get total wattage and divide by 110 to get total Amps. Your spindle of 4/5 HP will not draw more current than the fuse right there under the speed control, probably 5 amp. 24 V 4.5 A = 108 5 V 2 A = 10 12 V 1 A = 12 4/5 HP (aprox) 600 coolant pump (a guess) 200 ----- total wattage 930 call it 1000 watts for a little overhead so you have about 8.3 amps. Sounds like a good setup. Have fun Steve |
