What's a good wire size for motor connections? I have on hand 4 conductor telephone wire, solid not stranded, round not flat, is that suitable for use to make connections from the motor to the controller box? Need help I want to connect it up and start it up. Last edited by SPEEDRE; 04-08-2008 at 08:05 AM. |

| I used wire intended for connecting trailer lights. Not sheilded but hasn't presented problems. It's available at auto parts stores like "Pep Boys" in a 25' length for under $15 and is quite a bit heavier (16ga I think) than phone wire. It's a 4 conductor color coded ribbon cable that flexes easily. Best of luck Steve |

| As for the voltage issue, what ever a heavy duty servo motor draws. I'd say low voltage wire, but I've solved that issue. Bought some stranded 22 AWG 4 con. on EBay. Thank you for your replies they were helpful. |
