Any Good Deals?(limit Switch)

Im using the 3-axis xylotex driver and are wanting to find some limit switches.
I guess "the best bang for the buck". What should I look for (roller contact, snap acting)? Trying to keep the price down.

Flute Head,
I posted a simular reply not too long ago. I have been using for years "AutomationDirect.com". They are an on-line company in Atlanta and you can pick up roller, snap action switches FAR LESS than anywhere else! I am an engineer who designs and builds automation for a living and I am always searching for a good deal, and a good deal more! Give then a look, I assure you will not be dissatisified! The sell sensors, switches, fiber-optics, enclosures all at a very good price. Hope this helps, let me know what you think.
Regards,
Glen

Thanks big daddy, very much appreciated,
The prices look great, now I need to pick one out. Im looking at things like what type of connections. Also volt and amp ratings. Any input? The xylotex is rated 35v @ 2.5 amps per phase. I'll be pushing 28volts with an unregulated p.supply and a 24v cooling fan on driver. Just a little FYI.

Flute Head,
No problem! Most switchs pull little or no current. In the case of snap/roller switches the contact is mechanical so the draw is the resistance in the contact (milli-amps). In the case of the Sensors/Fibers, again the dc voltage is min., and should be listed in the spec sheet on each sensor. If your worried about voltages, you might concider going thru a "Dry Contact" (Relay). That way you can send the common back to the controller. The sensors are 10-30 vdc and swithes can work with all you mentioned. Using the switch, with either the 28vdc or the fan supply of 24vdc will work. Good luck and let me know if I can help any more, I would be happy to.
Glen

Can't beat thoes prices huh! Plus quick delivery, they go out the same day you order. I live in Sunny Florida and get them in a day usually (if I get my order in the morning).

Glen

Flute Head,
Hey man! Onron in a high quality switch no doubt. Cross ref. the same switch and Automation Direct ( # AAP2T35211 ) sells for 12.00. The same basic switch. Now, 2 per axis, 3 axis's = Onron 126.00 and Automation Direct $72.00. Just a thought!

Flute Head,
Patrick has a good source as well. They are a different type of switch, and I have used them with great success. But the factory type switch at 12.00 vrs. 21.00 was where I was going. The small snaps work well, hold up well.

Check part # AAP2T35Z11 instead of AAP2T35211

Best regards

Thanks french,
Still another question. The specs for the 12.00 switch say 1 normally open 1 normally closed, I guess just like a light switch. But then I see that you can change this configuration in the spare parts section. My diagram shows ex. of normally closed switches for my driver. I guess some switches are set normally closed and some normally open. Does this have to be compatable to the driver or software? Making sure I'm buying the right config. thanks, matt
