I am interested in this ebay scope..... Just by going from the picture, What could the faded wave on the left indicate? This is a tek465 model....I understand these can more easily be repaired than later models. |

| The "faded" trace is a camera exposure time less than the horizontal sweep time across the CRT. Set your camera to a short exposure time and take a picture of your TV set (on of course). You'll get the same effect. Mariss |

| Thanks! not all have that affect ...some sellors don't use the camera flash. I thought maybe it could have been a weakened CRT or ANYTHING for that matter....not knowing an iota(yet) about the innards. ![]() generally, if the ad only shows one trace, I can assume either the sellor doesn't know enough to display both traces, OR, one channel is malfunctioning. I have that very same scope.. no trace on it, though.. trying to find a solution to it . only thing I can find is that it is missing the -8V voltage.. well, that is all i have found SO FAR.. took me 3 days to find a manual that matches my model.. apprently the schematic & part labels on the boards changed depending on the serial number.. lower numbers used one schematic, and higher series had different designations for the resistors, transistors, chips, etc.. | I have a 465DM at home with the full manual set - let me know if you need a scan of the schematics Aaron
