im planning on using servo motors with my cnc router 5x9 table with g32o driver (2 motor on y axis slave also), I like to use mach 3 with a laptop. But it has no parallel port what are my options, grex or a cheaper solution, i still like to use the laptop if possible? do i still need a break out board if i use grex? |

| The SmoothStepper should be released in the next few weeks, and is cheaper than the G100. www.warp9td.com

| They are in beta testing right now. It's a USB connection pulse generator, with a 4Mhz step rate. It basically creates two parallel ports and connects to the PC with a usb cable. You would still use one or two breakout boards and plug them into the SmoothStepper parallel port connectors.
