Problem- Is It OK to do this?

When I get to wiring my limit switches is it ok to use a connector, as in, having them plug in on a faceplate? I plan on using a new electronics enclosure of my own design and I want everything to plug in at the faceplate. Also, I have a bi-directional bobb from cnc4pc and mini power supply for it. It has a place to put an enable/disable switch. Can this be utilized as an E-Stop, as it will stop the flow of information to and from the computer, as I understand it?

Yes, you can do that.

Yes, but your control software will keep running, unless you tie the estop input into the switch as well.

I don'tknow much more than you. But I believe you can get an Estop with multiple contacts for connecting multiple things to it, while keeping them separate.
