| Is this a SCR based control? (runs direct off of 120v ac supply). You can probably get away with it, I would make sure it is well vented or mounted on heat sink and fuse it tightly. Al.

| You will probabally find your service supply is 120v, many appliances are marked 110v. Al.

| AL here it is from the sheet. MPORTANT: THE RSC-15 ROUTER SPEED CONTROL IS A VOLTAGE SENSITIVE DEVICE WHICH WILL MAINTAIN CONSTANT TORQUE AT ALL SPEEDS. USE ONLY ON UNIVERSAL (AC-DC) BRUSH TYPE MOTORS. ALL PORTABLE ROUTERS USE THIS TYPE MOTOR. THIS CAN BE USED WITH MOTORS RATED UP TO 20 AMPS. THIS IS AN EFFECTIVE SPEED CONTROL FOR SINGLE SPEED ROUTERS, SANDERS, GRINDERS, DRILLS & 120V DC OR UNIVERSAL MOTOR 20 AMPS & UNDER. NOT FOR USE WITH INDUCTIVE STYLE MOTORS. A STANDARD TIME DELAY FUSE IS PROVIDED TO GIVE ADDED PROTECTION TO YOUR TOOLS AND APPLIANCES. thanks greg |

| The sheet starts off by specifying a Universal motor only, which yours is not. But later down the page mentions 120VDC OR Universal? The 'Not to be used for Inductive style motors' means a regular AC induction motor. I don't really see any reason why it would not work with a normal PM DC motor? Like I mentioned before, if the fusing is tight, it should protect it. Normally SCR type drives are pretty rugged. Al.
