Hi. I have a stepper motor driver that requires a AC supply of 17v and 40/60v.The transformers that I have produce 17.3V and 63V when under load,is their some way I can regulate the the 63v down to 60v or below? The other question is does the extra voltage matter. The transformer rating plate is 17v/2A and 60v/5A |

| If the winding is on the outside, you could remove a few turns, the other alternative if the winding is buried, is to wind on some turns and connect one end to the end of the winding you want to reduce, measure the voltage ocross both outer ends and if the voltage is higher, swap the end of the new winding and now it should be lower across the outer ends, you will need around 3 turns/volt for a square lamination TXFR.
