Looking for Panel Mount Connector. (6 pin)

Hello,

I'm looking to get a rugged panel mount female connector with male cable side.

I want to combine the motor feed and encoders into one wire. ((Is this a bad idea))

2 conducters for the motor.
4 conducters for the encoder.

I've looked all through forum at a bunch of posts, but mostly I've just become confused or frustrated. The websites aren't the easiest to navigate.

Anyway, any help would be great.

Thanks.

I'm looking at using this wire. If it's required to use shielded with the encoder.

The 16ga is much bigger than the 24 or so that the us digital encoder uses. I'll have to splice the 16/24 at the motor.

End result is that I want to try and make the wiring as pretty as possible and reliable. I don't want wires running all over the place.

If I should be looking at something else.

Let me know... ((thanks))

You could look at the AMP CPC connectors, they have a couple of larger pins in some units to allow for this.
It is usually considered better to go separate connectors, but it is still done.
Run the encoders in shielded pair cable with overall shield, and the motor conductors in either shielded or twisted pair cable.
If you want a more rugged connector, the Cannon MS (Military Style), used on commercial machines is much more expensive.
