| I think you are refering to PNP or NPN which relates to either sink or source, IOW you can have a input device that sources (PNP) that switches the positive rail into a sinking input. Or with NPN, vice-versa, switches to the common or - rail into a source type input. By input, I am refering to a PLC type input card. P.S. turn your caps off, it is equivalent of shouting. Al.
