photomicroprocessors for positioning | | I have been using micro switches for my home position on my cnc. I have an aluminum L bracket attached to the frame of the machine to trip the switch. I have also had the destinct pleasure of hitting one of those switches too hard on two different occasions and had to go thru the setup process all over again. I use Mach2 for my controller and was talking with Art the other day explaining my problem and trying to figure a gcode fix using offsets. He suggested I change out my microswitches to photo/optical. I need some help determining exactly which switch I need. I am looking at an Omron high resolution p#
653-FF-SJ3-D. My question is: Do I need anything besides the switch and a blade to make these things work with Mach2? Any help would be appreciated.
