Hey all- I reckon this is a bit of a newbie question: I'm constructing an LMD18245-based circuit (the "Typical Application" circuit in the LMD18245 datasheet) & wanted to confirm something. I'll be using it with a SM2006B motor rated at 3.6V & 2.0A/Phase. I'm under the impression that I can essentially ignore the voltage rating, since I the LMD18245 will supply a steady 2A current (using a 10K resistor for current limiting). So, it's okay that my supply will be 12V even though the motor is rated at 3.6V right? Thanks! Keith |

| Yes you are correct, as long as you select the appropriate resistors to set your current limit. You will get better performance though if you increase your supply voltage.
