I put it all together and it looked really neat and tidy, which is fairly unusuall for stuff I have cobbled together, I connected some power to it and two of the fets exploded;-) melted the source lead on Q6 and spit Q8 at me.. I had connected both the 12V, 46V and the PC to the board, Vcc is 12V and 24V is in fact 46V.. It's connected to a pc parallel port thru the connector, all the pins on the connector were low when it was connected........... I have remed the blown fets and it's got power to all except one gate, gate[Q3] with the PC continously stepping I can follow the pulses and the 'in' of the ir2184 are being stepped but the gates aren't being switched. Whats the best way to remove smd chips?    |
