| Which microcontroller and IC's should i use to get 8 output pulse generated signals 0-5V TTL for controlling step/servo drives? and has got another 2 * 8 I/O TTL? It should be easy to controll motors by RS232 serial port. Just sending pulse frequency, direction,number of steps Z80 or AT mic |

| There are chips to convert RS232 to TTL level signals. If you used one of these chips, you could use about any micro which had the required i/o. There are probably micros with built in RS232 comm. but I am not aware of any off hand. Matt |
