Hi Everyone, ![]() Anyone out there up on transformer problems? I'm busy getting all the bits together for a bench top power supply and was given a transformer out of a hi-fi set. The problem is that it is one of those 110v - 220v types and the switch and circuit board was really busted up - wires off everywhere. I have tested it by putting 9v (ac) into what would normally be the output side and measured what I get in other places. The results are as follows: Place 9v across Blue gives me: 50v across Reds 25v Red to Black Placing 9v across Red just moves the (small, inaccurate, cheap) meter On the other side (Normally the power input) Pin A was wired to the one incoming line on the original setup, this was about all that I could see for sure. Measuring the voltage from Pin A gives me: Pin B = 75v Pin F = 75v Other Measurements: Pin B to C = 75v Pin C to F = 75v Pin D to E = 75v Resistances measure: A to B circuit A to C circuit A to D No circuit A to E No circuit A to F circuit B to C circuit B to D No circuit B to E No circuit B to F circuit C to D No circuit C to E No circuit C to F circuit D to E circuit D to F No circuit E to F No circuit The question is : how do I wire it up for 220v supply. Thanks in advance for any help. Best from the Mad Man |
